Das vierendige orthodoxe Kreuz hat eine schöne figürliche Einfassung. Das Erscheinungsbild des Kreuzes wird als "Kleeblattkreuz" bezeichnet, ein Kreuz mit halbrunden Enden in Form von Blättchen, manchmal mit kleinen Knospen. Das "Kleeblattkreuz" symbolisiert die Dreifaltigkeit und wird auch zur Bezeichnung der Auferstehung Jesu verwendet. Es ist das wichtigste Altarkreuz in der russischen Orthodoxie. Dank der Bearbeitung mit dem Diamantstichel erhielt der Schmuck dekorative Facetten, die vom Zentrum ausgehen und die Grundlage für helle, sonnige Lichtreflexe bilden.
